### Barron Trump's Media Savvy Praised by Former Democratic Donor
A former Democratic megadonor has lauded Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, for his media strategy during his father's campaign. John Morgan, an attorney turned critic of the Democratic Party, expressed on Fox News that Barron's recommendation to utilize popular podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience was a brilliant move that the Harris campaign failed to emulate.
Morgan highlighted that for a successful campaign, appearing on platforms with high viewership and influence, such as Joe Rogan's podcast and Fox News, is crucial. He cited Barron's advice as evidence that the youngest Trump is "a lot smarter than everybody" in Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign team. Morgan further elaborated that Barron suggested his father should engage with internet streamers and podcast hosts to connect with a younger, predominantly male audience.
Reports from Time indicate that Barron contributed significantly to his father's campaign strategy, even approving a list of podcasts for Donald Trump to appear on. This list featured well-known figures such as influencer Adin Ross, the Nelk Boys, comedian Theo Von, YouTuber Logan Paul, and, notably, Joe Rogan. Although it remains uncertain if Barron specifically proposed Trump’s appearance on Rogan’s show, it's known that Rogan extended invitations to both Trump and Harris. However, Harris's campaign was reportedly more challenging to coordinate with.
Throughout her campaign, Harris faced criticism for her limited media presence. Despite a late surge in appearances on shows like The View, The Breakfast Club, and podcasts such as Call Her Daddy, she missed significant opportunities to engage with a younger male demographic, often dubbed the "bro vote." By opting out of popular digital platforms frequented by YouTubers and streamers, Harris may have failed to diversify her voter appeal.
In a bid to appeal to moderate conservative voters, Harris did engage in a notable interview with Fox News host Brett Baier. Her campaign, however, seemed more focused on young women and people of color, aiming to replicate the voter base that supported Joe Biden in the 2020 election. Despite her efforts, dissatisfaction with the country's current state, particularly the economy, posed a significant challenge, compounded by her close association with Biden’s administration.
Morgan, who distanced himself from the Democratic Party in 2018 to become an Independent, was forthright in his criticism of Harris. He claimed she lacked the talent for a presidential campaign and advised that she "never" run again, underscoring her failure to reach out to a broader voter base.
