In a shocking and tragic incident, a man in Florida went on a killing spree, gunning down three women in separate shootings. The victims included his own mother, his cousin, and his ex-girlfriend's new partner. The alleged suspect, identified as 28-year-old Javontee Brice, was later fatally shot by police after a shootout.

The series of horrifying events began when Brice arrived at an apartment in Palmetto, where his sister and ex-girlfriend were present. According to Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells, Brice threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend, but his sister managed to talk him down. She later informed investigators that he was behaving strangely leading up to the incident.

From there, Brice drove to a Motel 6 in Bradenton, where his mother, two young sisters, and her boyfriend were staying. Around 9:15 p.m., he entered their hotel room and reportedly apologized to his mother before shooting her three times. The boyfriend and the two young children were present during the horrific act.

Brice then proceeded to a house in Palmetto, where he shot his cousin as she was getting into her car to leave a cookout. The cousin, aged 29, succumbed to her injuries approximately one hour later, according to the sheriff.

The spree continued as Brice headed to a residence in Bradenton, where his other ex-girlfriend lived with her new partner. At around 10:04 p.m., he allegedly shot and killed the new partner before fleeing the scene. The motive behind these targeted attacks remains unknown.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office promptly issued a statewide "Be On the Lookout" bulletin for Brice's car, which was eventually tracked to Hamilton County near the Georgia state line. Authorities were alerted that Brice possibly had another ex-girlfriend in Georgia and might have been headed there to harm her.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police officers pulled Brice over in Hamilton County. As the encounter escalated, Brice emerged from his car and began firing at the officers, who responded by returning fire and fatally shooting him. A woman who was with Brice during the incident is currently being interviewed by authorities to determine her relationship with him.

The devastated family of Brice is understandably shocked by the loss of their loved ones. Investigators are now seeking to interview the relatives in order to gain insights into any possible underlying issues Brice may have been dealing with in the days leading up to the violent spree.

Authorities are puzzled as to what triggered Brice's violent actions and the specific reason behind his choice to target his family and ex-girlfriend's partner. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are determined to uncover the truth surrounding this tragic event.

This shocking incident serves as a somber reminder of the devastating impact that domestic violence can have on families and communities. It emphasizes the importance of effective prevention measures and support systems to address and mitigate such acts of violence.
