**Florida Golfer Fatally Attacked in Random Assault**

A tragic incident occurred at Sandhill Crane Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where 65-year-old golfer Brian Hiltebeitel was fatally attacked. The attack reportedly took place on Monday afternoon and is believed to have been a random act of violence perpetrated by 36-year-old Junior Boucher.

Earlier that day, Boucher had been reported missing by his family after they filed an eviction notice to remove him from their home. According to Palm Beach Gardens police, Boucher launched a brutal assault on Hiltebeitel using the golfer's own clubs. Witnesses recalled hearing Hiltebeitel scream, "He's trying to kill me," before seeing Boucher strike him on the first fairway.

Despite Hiltebeitel's efforts to flee, Boucher retrieved another club from the golfer's bag and pursued him into a nearby pond. Witnesses reported that Boucher continued to choke and beat Hiltebeitel in the water. The police found no prior connection between the victim and the assailant, nor any indication of a preceding argument.

After the horrifying attack, Boucher stripped off his clothes and fled into the surrounding woods. Authorities apprehended him only after deploying a stun gun. As of Wednesday, Boucher is being held without bond and faces charges of first-degree murder. Court records show that Boucher has previous arrests for domestic battery, battery on a police officer, and drug possession.

The Palm Beach County Public Defender's Office, currently representing Boucher, declined to comment on the case. They cited their standard policy of not making statements regarding pending legal matters.
