Five Dead, Three Injured in Northern Kentucky Shooting Incident

In a tragic incident early Saturday morning, five people have lost their lives and three others have been injured following a shooting in northern Kentucky. The Florence Police Department responded to multiple calls reporting an active shooter at a residence in Florence around 3 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered four victims already deceased at the scene. The Florence Police Department confirmed that all four victims were adults, with two females and two males among them. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time.
Three additional individuals were wounded and quickly transported to a local hospital, where they are currently in stable condition, according to the Florence Police Department.
The suspect, an adult male, had fled in a vehicle before the arrival of law enforcement. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspect evaded capture, leading to a pursuit. Eventually, the suspect drove off the road and into a ditch.
Authorities discovered the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Boone County Coroner's office identified the suspect as an adult male but did not disclose his identity.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect acted alone, and the Florence Police Department has reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat to their safety. The Boone County Sheriff's Office is cooperating with the Florence Police Department in the investigation.
