### Man Killed in Officer-Involved Shooting in West Phoenix
Authorities are probing a series of confrontations in West Phoenix that culminated in the death of a man who fired his weapon during one of the altercations with police on Thursday night.
The incidents began when officers were dispatched to the vicinity of 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road following reports of a dispute between two individuals outside a convenience store. According to police, at least one person in the argument was armed with a handgun. One individual involved in the dispute reportedly got into a car and left the scene.
Law enforcement located a vehicle matching the description provided and attempted to pull it over. However, the driver did not comply and continued driving into a neighborhood near 78th Avenue and Osborn Road. Officers momentarily lost track of the vehicle but later discovered it unoccupied in the same neighborhood.
It was then reported that the suspect had exited the vehicle and entered the backyard of a nearby home. The sequence of these events led to a confrontation during which the suspect fired his gun, resulting in a fatal shooting involving the police. The investigation into these multiple scenes is ongoing.
