**Fans Express Concerns Over Showrunner Change for 'Nobody Wants This' Season 2**

The announcement of a second season of the Netflix series "Nobody Wants This" has sparked concern among fans due to a significant change in the show's creative team. The series, which features Kristen Bell as a sex podcaster and Adam Brody as a rabbi, was confirmed for a return earlier this week.

Netflix highlighted the renewal through an article on its website Tudum, humorously titled, "Nobody Wants This Is Returning for Season 2, Because You Wanted It." The show’s creator and initial showrunner, Erin Foster, shared her enthusiasm for the project's continuation, describing the creation of the series as a career highlight and expressing gratitude towards the cast, crew, producers, and executives.

However, Foster will transition to an executive producer role for the second season. Showrunning responsibilities will now be handled by Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, both known for their previous work on HBO's "Girls." Despite their established reputations, this shift has unsettled some of the show’s devoted followers. The change has led to worries, drawing parallels to other series like "Killing Eve" and "The Girlfriend Experience," which experienced less favorable receptions following similar transitions.

Some fans expressed their unease on social media. One troubled viewer cited past disappointments with showrunner changes, while another simply stated their fear with the change. Questions about the necessity of this switch were also raised.

Adding to the context, the first season of "Nobody Wants This" faced criticism regarding its portrayal of Jewish characters. Foster, who converted to Judaism in adulthood, was accused of relying on stereotypes in a narrative inspired by her personal experiences. In a response to these criticisms, Foster defended the portrayal by highlighting the unique characteristics of one of the leads, a young, unconventional rabbi.

"Nobody Wants This" season one is currently available for streaming on Netflix, with season two's premiere highly anticipated despite the recent controversies.
