In an exciting buildup to the highly anticipated matchup between Nebraska and Colorado, the ESPN "College GameDay" crew has shown overwhelming support for the Cornhuskers. Five out of six analysts on the show predicted a victory for Nebraska, while the lone dissenter, Desmond Howard, chose to back the Colorado Buffaloes.

The Nebraska football team has been steadily gaining momentum ahead of their clash with Colorado, and this resounding show of support from the ESPN analysts further bolsters their confidence. With the likes of former Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps joining the panel, it was a near-unanimous decision to pick the Cornhuskers as the favorites on game day.

Desmond Howard, however, remains at odds with Nebraska fans. His past comments in August 2020 ruffled feathers when he suggested that the Big Ten Conference needed to explore other options outside of the conference. This history only adds more fuel to the fire as he stands alone in backing the Buffaloes against the Big Red.

While Howard expressed confidence in Colorado's offensive abilities against Nebraska's defense, fellow analyst Pat McAfee continued to shower praise on the Cornhuskers. McAfee highlighted the talent of freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola, adding to the positive sentiment surrounding Matt Rhule's program.

Notably, multi-national championship winning coach Nick Saban joined McAfee and Phelps in picking Nebraska to emerge victorious. This aligned with the consensus of the ESPN "Fan Vote," where an impressive 63% of fans polled showed their support for the Big Red. Kirk Herbstreit and former coach Lee Corso also sided with Nebraska, further solidifying the belief in the team's potential.

Coach Saban specifically commended the young talent, Dylan Raiola, for his impressive debut performance against UTEP. The first-year quarterback showcased maturity beyond his years, convincing the seasoned coach that he was more than capable of leading the team to success.

With an overwhelming show of support and positive reviews from notable analysts, the Nebraska football team now eagerly awaits their intriguing showdown against Colorado. The game will be held at Memorial Stadium, providing the stage for an intense rivalry test. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CDT, as fans eagerly anticipate the outcome of this highly anticipated clash between the Cornhuskers and the Buffaloes.
