Spending nearly every day at Mar-a-Lago with Trump, Musk has been deeply involved in key staffing decisions and shaping the future direction of the Trump administration.

Musk's influence has been far-reaching. On election night, he was present in the Trump family photo, and over the weekend, he was seen dining with future first lady Melania Trump and golfing with the Trump family. His involvement extends beyond social engagements, with sources also highlighting that Musk has taken part in significant phone calls between Trump and foreign leaders.

For instance, Musk was notably present during at least two calls President-elect Trump had with international leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During the call with Zelenskyy, Trump even handed the phone to Musk, allowing him to speak directly to the Ukrainian president.

Musk has also voiced his opinions on Trump's staffing decisions. After Trump announced Rep. Elise Stefanik as his pick for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Musk expressed concerns on his social media platform X about the potential risks of her leaving the House. "Elise is awesome, but it might be too risky to lose her from the House, at least for now," Musk posted early Monday morning.
