**Giants Booed Off Own Turf as Barkley Shines for Eagles**

The fans were vocal from the onset, expressing their displeasure loudly. Saquon Barkley, now an adversary, was met with jeers upon his return, reflecting the discontent among the supporters. However, the louder boos came later and were directed at the Giants’ faltering offense and their beleaguered quarterback.

While the Giants' defense started strong, they received little support from the offense. Daniel Jones faced relentless pressure throughout the game, resulting in his benching during another lackluster performance at MetLife Stadium. Barkley, on the other hand, enjoyed a triumphant return, racking up 176 yards and a touchdown on just 17 rushing attempts. The Giants' woes continued with a 28-3 loss against the Eagles, further sinking their standing in the NFC East.

Daniel Jones was replaced by backup quarterback Drew Lock with 11:26 left in the game. Jones completed 14 of 21 passes for a mere 99 yards and was sacked seven times, as the offensive line struggled without left tackle Andrew Thomas. Jones has yet to throw a touchdown pass in six consecutive home games, and the Giants have only managed to score 10 points in their last two games. The decision to bench Jones came on the same day Barkley made a striking return, highlighting the Giants' struggles.

Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, returning from concussion protocol, made a modest impact with four receptions for 41 yards. Barkley, who had hoped to remain with the Giants, faced boos from the crowd but ultimately had the last laugh. Early in the game, he was contained to 17 yards on seven carries before breaking out with a 55-yard run in the second quarter, setting up his own 3-yard touchdown.

Barkley's impressive performance included a 41-yard run in the third quarter that contributed to Jalen Hurts scoring another touchdown. The Eagles' dominance over the Giants continued, marking their sixth win in the last seven matchups. The Giants remain winless in their division and at home this season, with a dismal record against the Eagles.

Jalen Hurts connected with A.J. Brown for a 41-yard touchdown in the second quarter, extending the Eagles’ lead. The Giants' closest attempt at a touchdown was nullified by an offensive pass interference penalty, leading them to settle for a 38-yard field goal by Greg Joseph in the first half.

The decision to start Josh Ezeudu at left tackle in place of Thomas backfired, as Ezeudu allowed two sacks in the first quarter. The offensive line was overwhelmed by the Eagles' defense, which came into the game with 11 sacks in five games and easily bested the Giants' front.

Despite the initial defensive effort, which included four first-half sacks on Hurts, Barkley eventually wore down the Giants’ defense. The Eagles executed their game plan with ease, continuing their dominance over a struggling Giants team.
