In a shocking incident, Andrei Torgashov, the deputy head of the satellite communication center of the Russian Armed Forces, has reportedly sustained traumatic amputation of both feet after a car bomb exploded in Moscow. The explosion occurred on July 24 in the morning, in the parking lot outside Torgashov's residence as he was entering his vehicle, according to ASTRA Telegram channel as reported by Ukrinform.
Eyewitnesses at the scene have indicated that sappers are currently working to assess the aftermath of the blast. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has confirmed that an explosive device had been planted in the car in advance, causing the devastating explosion. Sadly, Torgashov's wife, believed to be in the car at the time, was also injured in the attack.
Both Torgashov and his wife are currently in intensive care and are said to be in grave condition, according to the Mash Telegram channel. Additionally, footage of the incident, including the planting of the bomb, has been shared by the publication.
The Telegram channel Baza has identified Torgashov as an officer affiliated with the GRU defense intelligence. However, no official statement has been made regarding the motive or the perpetrators behind this horrific attack.
