In a shocking turn of events, Connecticut police have identified 26-year-old Jared Ravizza as the prime suspect in the murder of his roommate, 70-year-old Bruce Feldman, in Deep River. The investigation into the Deep River death is still ongoing, with criminal charges against Ravizza pending.
The tragic discovery of Feldman's body was made on Saturday afternoon at a holiday home that he had been sharing with Ravizza. Locals reported a commotion on that day which led to the police being called, and authorities found Feldman's belongings still at the scene. It remains unclear how Feldman and Ravizza knew each other or ended up living together for a period of two to three weeks.
According to witnesses, Feldman had described himself as Ravizza's friend and, at times, as his father. He owned two dogs, a gray poodle named Lily and another black dog, which sadly are believed to have been killed by Ravizza. Astonishingly, Ravizza is said to have stabbed the dogs to death.
Prior to discovering Feldman's body, an incident occurred where Feldman got into a dispute with neighbors. They found him sitting on their porch with one of his dogs running around their property. After threatening to call the police on him for trespassing, Feldman left. Somehow, their home was later targeted by an unnamed suspect who threw a shovel through their front door window pane.
Another neighbor identified Ravizza as the individual responsible for the altercation, which potentially served as the trigger for the violent events that unfolded on Saturday. Ravizza reportedly left the scene and proceeded to a movie theater, where he allegedly stabbed four children aged between 9 and 17 in Braintree, Massachusetts. He then drove to a McDonald's in Plymouth and attacked two workers there.
Fortunately, none of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries, and they received medical treatment. Ravizza was subsequently apprehended by authorities three hours after the stabbing spree and was arraigned on Tuesday morning. However, as of Tuesday afternoon, he has yet to be charged in connection with the murder of Bruce Feldman.
Feldman's partner, Julie Feldman, expressed profound shock and devastation at his sudden death. She tearfully revealed that they had been together for a very long time. The investigation into the murder of Bruce Feldman is ongoing, with Connecticut police diligently working to gather evidence.
As the case unfolds, police have not commented on the fate of Feldman's beloved dogs. The attorney representing Ravizza could not be reached for comment at the time of reporting.
