### Epic Week 12 Results Shake Up College Football Landscape

In a dramatic Week 12 of college football, no victory was larger than Indiana’s own Curt Cignetti landing a $64 million contract during his week off. The weekend delivered nail-biting finishes, surprising upsets, and a shaking of the playoff landscape.

One of the week's most thrilling games involved preseason No. 1 Georgia, which faced the dire possibility of missing the College Football Playoff with a third loss against Tennessee. The Bulldogs appeared on the brink when they trailed 10-0 at home. However, quarterback Carson Beck found his rhythm, completing 25 of 40 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns, leading Georgia to a 31-17 victory. Georgia, now 8-2 overall and 6-2 in the SEC, extended its winning streak against Tennessee to eight seasons, fueling chaos in the SEC standings.

The race for the SEC title intensified with Texas and Texas A&M locked in at 5-1, each vying for supremacy ahead of their face-off on November 30 in College Station. Meanwhile, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Ole Miss each hold two conference losses. Alabama, under the guidance of coach Kalen DeBoer, remains favored due to their opponents' cumulative conference records.

Further west, top-ranked Oregon showcased resilience by overcoming a sluggish start to escape Wisconsin with a narrow 16-13 win. Running back Jordan James’ 121-yard performance on 25 carries, along with defensive plays from Matayo Uiagalelei, sealed the victory for the Ducks, who remain undefeated and lead the Big Ten.

The Big 12 also saw its share of upheaval as sixth-ranked BYU's home loss to Kansas brought down their 9-1 record. Kansas capitalized on a botched punt to set up a decisive fourth-quarter score, leading to a 17-13 upset. The defeat, however, does not rule out BYU's playoff hopes, as they remain in contention with Colorado at the top of the Big 12.

Kenny Dillingham has revitalized Arizona State in his second season. The Sun Devils, powered by redshirt freshman quarterback Sam Leavitt and receiver Jordyn Tyson, surged to a 24-14 victory against No. 16 Kansas State, enhancing their position in the Big 12.

On an individual front, Colorado's Travis Hunter emerged as a strong Heisman contender. He became the first player in nearly 24 years to achieve a rare trifecta: 50 receiving yards, a rushing touchdown, and an interception in a single game, leading the Buffaloes to a 49-24 win over Utah. The last to do so was Champ Bailey in 2000.

As the Heisman race tightens, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty also staked his claim with a stellar performance against San Jose State. Jeanty's three-touchdown effort helped the Broncos secure a 42-21 win, solidifying their berth in the Mountain West Championship Game.

In the SEC, Texas continues to assert itself with a formidable defense, led by Jahdae Barron. The Longhorns logged six sacks in a 20-10 victory over Arkansas. Meanwhile, South Carolina, Florida, and Notre Dame continue to make significant strides through the season, each marking crucial victories that could shape their postseason fates.

In sum, Week 12 provided a plethora of heart-stopping moments and pivotal games, leaving the future of college football’s playoff picture more unpredictable than ever.
