**Biden Expresses Concerns Over Peaceful Transfer of Power Ahead of Election Day**

In the lead-up to Election Day, President Joe Biden has voiced confidence in the electoral process but expressed apprehension regarding the peaceful transfer of power. During an unexpected appearance at a White House press briefing, Biden remarked on the potential threats he perceives stemming from former President Donald Trump's rhetoric and actions concerning election results.

"The things that Trump has said and the things he said last time out when he didn't like the outcome of the election were very dangerous," Biden commented. He highlighted his unease further by noting that the Republican vice-presidential candidate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, not only avoided acknowledging Trump's 2020 defeat but also refused to affirm he would accept the results of the upcoming 2024 election, should Trump lose.

Biden's concerns were rooted in a notable moment during the recent vice-presidential debate. Vance evaded direct questions about accepting the 2024 election outcome, pivoting to criticize Democratic "censorship" instead. His Democratic opponent, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, criticized this response as "a damning non-answer."

When pressed for clarity at the debate, Vance assured that he would support his opponent should Walz become the next vice president, yet his comments left some ambiguity about his stance on the election's integrity. "We are going to shake hands after this debate and after this election. Of course, I hope that we win and I think we're going to win, but if Tim Walz is the next vice president, he'll have my prayers, he'll have my best wishes and he'll have my help whenever he wants it," Vance said.

Adding to the discourse, Republican National Committee spokesperson Anna Kelly criticized Kamala Harris and Biden, accusing them of undermining primary voters and utilizing the justice system to influence elections. She claimed that under their administration, Americans "have felt anything but peace."

Trump's persistent refusal to accept his 2020 loss to Biden, along with numerous lawsuits challenging the election results and various charges related to election interference, loom large in the current election cycle. His role in the January 6 Capitol insurrection led to his impeachment by the House, underscoring Biden's concerns about maintaining a peaceful political climate post-election.
