**Bank of America Customers Experience Account Access Issues**
On Wednesday, numerous Bank of America customers encountered difficulty accessing their bank accounts, causing widespread concern and frustration. According to data collected by Downdetector, reports of problems began to surge around 12:45 pm ET, with many customers unable to view their account balances.
Some customers reported seeing zero balances when they managed to log in, exacerbating the situation. The sudden issue even affected several CNN employees who were unable to access their accounts online. A message displayed for one customer noted that account balances might be "temporarily unavailable."
One Bank of America user on Downdetector mentioned that their five accounts showed a total balance of zero, despite having over $20,000. Another user noted a strange inconsistency where he couldn't log in while his wife could, but her accounts also showed no balance. Additionally, one irate customer pointed out that although their balance was unavailable, their debt information was still correctly displayed.
As of now, Bank of America has not issued any official statement or comment regarding the widespread online banking issues.
