In a shocking turn of events, 91-year-old Austrian-Canadian auto parts billionaire, Frank Stronach, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, including rape, indecent assault on a female, sexual assault, and forcible confinement. The charges, spanning over several decades, were announced by Peel Regional Police in Canada.

According to the police statement, Stronach was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date. Peel Regional Police Constable Tyler Bell confirmed that there is more than one accuser, but refused to disclose the exact number, citing the need to protect the victims.

The alleged incidents are said to have occurred between the 1980s and as recently as 2023. In response, the authorities are appealing to the public for any additional information or individuals who may have been victims of similar assaults.

Stronach, who has not issued an immediate comment, has enlisted the services of prominent Canadian defense lawyer Brian Greenspan to represent him. Greenspan expressed Stronach's complete denial of the allegations and stated his client's intention to respond comprehensively to the charges. Greenspan further emphasized Stronach's desire to uphold his philanthropic legacy while maintaining his stature as an icon in the Canadian business community.

Born in Austria, Stronach achieved great success in Canada by creating Magna in his garage in 1957, which grew into one of the world's largest auto parts suppliers. He also founded The Stronach Group, known for its involvement in horse racing. Having briefly entered Austrian politics and been honored with the Order of Canada, Stronach has enjoyed a formidable career.

Magna, Stronach's former company, stated that he has had no affiliation with the company since 2010, expressing limited knowledge regarding the ongoing investigation and charges. The company spokesperson, Dave Niemiec, declined to provide further comment on the matter.

In a separate legal matter in 2018, Stronach filed a lawsuit against his daughter, two grandchildren, and former business associate Alon Ossip, alleging mismanagement of the family's assets. The case was later settled after Belinda Stronach, a former Canadian Member of Parliament, counter-sued her father, claiming losses incurred by him in personal ventures.

As the allegations against Frank Stronach continue to unfold, the legal proceedings are expected to shed light on the claims made against one of Canada's most influential figures in the auto industry and the horse racing sector.
