Arrest Made in West Hollywood Nightclub Assault; Victim Continues to Recover

An arrest has been made in connection with a brutal assault that occurred outside a West Hollywood nightclub two weeks ago, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The victim, identified as Alberto Vasquez, is currently recovering in a local hospital.
On the evening of April 5, at approximately 10:40 p.m., an altercation unfolded outside a nightclub located in the 8900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. Authorities report that Vasquez attempted to enter the establishment but was denied access by a security guard due to his lack of proper identification.
A disagreement between Vasquez and the security guard quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. The security guard allegedly punched Vasquez in the face, causing him to fall to the ground with great force. As a result of the attack, Vasquez sustained serious injuries, including a cracked skull and extensive bruising.
Vasquez's sister, Gloria Jimenez, confirmed the severity of her brother's injuries and created a GoFundMe page to assist with his medical expenses. The victim's family and friends have rallied together to support his recovery.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrested a security guard in connection with the assault, charging him with battery causing great bodily injury. However, the identity of the suspect has not been disclosed at this time.
