81-Year-Old Arrested for Terrorizing California Neighborhood with Slingshot

An 81-year-old man has been arrested in Azusa, California, after allegedly terrorizing a neighborhood for several years with a slingshot, according to police reports.

The investigation conducted by the Azusa Police Department revealed that numerous citizens had been targeted by a serial slingshot shooter over a span of 9-10 years. The suspect, who remains unnamed, is believed to have broken windows and car windshields, as well as narrowly missed people with ball bearings fired from a slingshot.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with these incidents. Following the execution of a search warrant, law enforcement officers discovered a slingshot and ball bearings at the suspect's residence in Azusa, located approximately 25 miles east of Los Angeles.

Azusa police Lieutenant Jake Bushey stated that detectives determined the majority of the ball bearings were shot from the suspect's backyard. However, authorities have yet to identify a motive for the actions, with Bushey referring to the crimes as "just malicious mischief."
