Woman Identified as Victim of Homicide in St. Johnsbury

In a tragic incident in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, a woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting. The Vermont State Police have released the name of the deceased as Christina Chatlos, a 38-year-old resident of Williamstown and Barre.
According to police, Chatlos was found dead inside a vehicle parked in a lot on Portland St., located on the grounds of the Cornerstone School. The discovery was made on Tuesday evening after a passerby reported seeing a car with bullet holes and an individual slumped over inside. Responding officers found Chatlos with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Based on the findings of the medical examiner, the cause of Chatlos' death has been confirmed as a gunshot wound, ruling it as a homicide. It is worth noting that Chatlos had been released from Corrections custody approximately nine hours prior to the incident.
