CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The recent stretch of pleasant spring-like weather in Cincinnati has come to an end as a weather system from the south is poised to bring rain and wet snow to the Tri-State region. This change in weather is expected to occur on Monday evening, with a chance of slushy accumulations in parts of the area.
According to the latest data, the heavier snowfall is anticipated to be more southward, sparing the northern and northwestern areas of Cincinnati. Consequently, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the spots in the city's south and southeast, which will remain in effect until Tuesday morning.
Residents in the southern and southeastern areas should be prepared for the possibility of one to two inches of wet snow accumulating. While the ground and pavement temperatures remain warm, there is still a risk of slick spots due to the potential for the snowfall to outpace the rate at which it can melt in those regions.
Despite the wintry conditions, temperatures will still remain above average for the week. Expect temperatures to hover around 50 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.
As always, it is important for residents to exercise caution while travelling, especially in areas where the snowfall may cause slippery conditions. Stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and advisories to ensure preparedness and safety during these changing weather conditions.
