New Jersey is currently experiencing a winter storm which has brought heavy snowfall to the northwestern counties while the southern half of the state is expected to face heavy rain and a wintry mix. The National Weather Service has predicted that the storm will dump up to a foot of snow in the northwestern region, specifically Sussex County, where snowfall rates of up to one inch per hour are anticipated.

It is strongly recommended to check local Department of Transportation information services for the most up-to-date road conditions.

The storm is expected to taper off after 2 a.m. on Sunday, with some light snow showers possibly lingering into the morning. Governor Phil Murphy has advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel, stating that the most intense part of the storm will likely be over by daybreak on Sunday.
