In a shocking turn of events, a 20-year-old suspect accused of killing his co-worker in Maine was apprehended after being found sleeping in a parking lot in Arkansas. The incident unfolded on Dec. 28 when the body of 52-year-old Angela Bragg was discovered inside Damon's Beverage in Waterville by a fellow employee, as reported by Maine State Police.

A subsequent autopsy conducted on Bragg revealed that she had died from a "sharp force injury," leading authorities to classify her death as a homicide. A warrant was then issued for the arrest of Spridal Hubiak, the co-worker believed to have fled the scene in a black 2010 Ford Taurus.

On Dec. 31, police officers in Flippin, Arkansas stumbled upon Hubiak, fast asleep in a parking lot in the early hours of the morning. Flippin is located approximately 150 miles north of Little Rock. As police approached him, Hubiak attempted to escape in his vehicle, leading authorities on a high-speed chase along Highway 65 in Boone County. The chase came to an end after Arkansas state troopers deployed spike mats, disabling Hubiak's car.

At that point, Hubiak emerged from the vehicle armed with a rifle. In the ensuing confrontation, shots were fired, and Hubiak sustained injuries. Maine State Police indicate that the specifics of the shooting are currently under investigation by Arkansas State Police.

Following the altercation, Hubiak was transported to a medical facility in Green County, Missouri, where as of Dec. 31, he was expected to survive. Authorities have not yet released an update on his condition.
