Several guests at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, were injured on Monday when a lamp post on Main Street U.S.A. toppled due to high winds, according to a Disneyland official.

Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to the incident just before 8:30 a.m. and found that three individuals had been hurt in the accident. One person sustained serious injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the other two were treated for minor injuries at the scene before being released, as confirmed by Anaheim Fire and Rescue.

The fallen lamp post, which was used for stage lighting during parades and shows on Main Street U.S.A., was located in the flowerbed surrounding the Disneyland flagpole, as reported by the Orange County Register.

The incident occurred amidst strong winds that had swept into the Southland on Sunday and persisted into Monday. These gusty winds were responsible for the instability of the lamp post, leading to its collapse.

In response to the accident, Disneyland promptly took action. According to Disney blog, WDW News Today, the lamp post was swiftly removed from the scene shortly after 10 a.m. Additionally, vehicles were strategically placed to block off half of the Town Square area at the theme park.

Disneyland officials have not released any further details regarding the extent of the injuries sustained by the affected guests or the current condition of the individual who was transported to the hospital. However, it is likely that investigations into the incident will be conducted to determine the exact cause of the lamp post's collapse and prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.

Visitors to Disneyland are urged to exercise caution during periods of high wind activity and to follow any safety instructions provided by park officials. The safety and well-being of guests remains a top priority for the popular theme park.

As weather conditions stabilize, the park will continue operating normally, providing a memorable experience for visitors from around the world.
