Children's Mercy Kansas City initially admitted 12 individuals, including 11 children and one adult, after the shooting. Nine of the children had gunshot wounds. As of Thursday, all but three patients have been discharged. These remaining patients are children, but hospital officials have assured that they have been stabilized and are expected to make full recoveries.
