South Carolina Senator Tim Scott has announced his engagement to Mindy Noce, a Charleston-area interior designer and mother of three. The 58-year-old politician took to social media on Sunday to share the happy news with his followers and post pictures from the proposal.

In the photos shared by Senator Scott, one showed him down on one knee, asking the all-important question, while the second image captured Noce's beaming smile as she showcased her beautiful engagement ring. Alongside the photos, Scott expressed his gratitude, calling himself the "luckiest man in the world" and thanking Noce for accepting his proposal.

The engagement announcement came after months of speculation about Scott's relationship status. In November, Noce made an appearance alongside the senator at a public event, shortly before Scott stepped back from his short-lived bid for the Republican Party's presidential nomination. At the time, Scott revealed that he and Noce had been dating for approximately a year.

Interestingly, just a few days prior to proposing to Noce, Senator Scott publicly pledged his support for Donald Trump as the GOP candidate in the upcoming presidential election. This endorsement, made on Friday, may boost Trump's chances of winning over former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in the state's primary next month. There are even rumors swirling that Scott's loyalty to Trump could potentially earn him a spot as the vice presidential nominee.

Conservative voters had previously raised questions about Scott's marital status, as he had remained unmarried for many years. However, the senator had kept his relationship with Noce private until now, choosing to focus on his political career.

The wedding date for Senator Scott and Mindy Noce has yet to be announced. As the couple enjoys this exciting chapter in their lives, South Carolina residents eagerly anticipate their upcoming nuptials.
