Shyanne Ray, the boy's mother, reported that she last saw her son before he vanished from their camper in Clayton. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's State Bureau of Investigation and aviation units have joined forces with the Barbour County Sheriff's Office to locate young Phenix Wilkerson. Sheriff Tyrone Smith of Barbour County has assembled a team comprising helicopters, divers, and ground searchers to comb the area for any signs of the missing child. According to an alert issued by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Phenix Wilkerson was last seen at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The boy, who is autistic and nonverbal, responds to his name. Shyanne Ray expressed her worry about her son's well-being, especially considering the adverse weather conditions that have persisted since his disappearance.

Cold temperatures and rain have further heightened the urgency to locate Phenix Wilkerson and bring him safely back home.
