In a tragic development, the Reedley Police Department has successfully identified the third and fourth victims in the ongoing quadruple murder case. Three individuals were initially discovered deceased at a residence in Reedley on Saturday, while the fourth victim's body was found in a neighboring garage on Tuesday morning.
The fourth victim has now been identified as 43-year-old Mathew Bonds, who had been reported missing following the initial discovery of the bodies. Mathew Bonds was not only the husband of victim Guadalupe Bonds, but also the grandson of 81-year-old victim Billy Bonds. The identities of the three victims initially found on Saturday were previously released as 61-year-old Darrell Bonds, Guadalupe Bonds, and Billy Bonds.
Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with the case. A 17-year-old boy has been taken into custody on homicide charges, while two adults face charges of being accessories to the crime. The Fresno County District Attorney's Office issued a statement about the charges against the minor, explaining that a juvenile petition has been filed with the Juvenile Division of the Fresno County Superior Court. Since the minor is over the age of 16, California law stipulates that they can only be transferred to adult court upon court order. A detention hearing for the minor has been scheduled for Thursday, January 11th, 2024, in the Juvenile Division of the Fresno County Superior Court.
Reedley residents are left shocked and saddened by this horrifying incident, as law enforcement officials continue their investigation to determine the motive behind these murders. The local community is mourning the loss of four individuals and grappling with the magnitude of this senseless violence that has struck their tight-knit town.
As the case unfolds, authorities are urging anyone with information related to the crime to come forward and assist in the investigation. The Reedley Police Department continues to work diligently to ensure justice is served for the victims and their grieving loved ones.
