In a show of solidarity with the Palestinian cause, almost 100 pro-Palestinian protesters marched through the streets of Park City, Utah, on Sunday. The demonstration, which included actress Melissa Barrera, disrupted traffic in the city known for hosting the annual Sundance Film Festival.

According to reports from Deadline, the protesters chanted the controversial slogan "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" as they made their way down Park City's Main Street, braving the snowy conditions. The presence of media covering the Sundance Film Festival brought additional attention to the protest.

The demonstrators criticized the Biden administration's support of Israel following a recent Hamas terrorist attack against the Jewish state on October 7. They voiced their concerns about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas-run Gaza and called for a ceasefire.

Melissa Barrera, who had been dropped from the cast of "Scream VII" by Spyglass Media in November due to her pro-Palestinian support on social media, stood in solidarity with the protesters. She clarified that she did not post anything antisemitic and expressed her condemnation of hate and prejudice in all forms.

During the protest, Barrera declined interviews but joined the crowd in reciting the chant, "In our thousands, in our millions, we are all Palestinians!"

As the demonstrators marched, they encountered intense police surveillance and engaged with the media present. Some passersby expressed their support for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza for the past three months, yelling "Bring them home." In contrast, a few counter-protesters waved Israeli flags.

The pro-Palestinian rally drew attention to the ongoing conflict and highlighted the diversity of public opinion surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian issue. The passion displayed by the protesters and the involvement of notable figures like Melissa Barrera ensured that their voices were heard.
