GARDEN CITY, MI - An armed suspect was shot and killed by police in Garden City following a shooting spree that occurred after a vehicle crash, according to authorities. The incident unfolded near Ford Road and Venoy Road on Tuesday, prompting the Garden City Police Department to issue a warning for the public to avoid the area.

The suspect, identified as a 37-year-old resident of Hamtramck, was involved in a collision with another vehicle when the incident took place. After the crash, the suspect exited his vehicle and began firing shots at a witness who was coming forward to offer assistance, as well as at multiple vehicles in the vicinity, law enforcement officials reported.

Responding officers quickly arrived at the scene to mitigate the danger. They confronted the suspect, and in the ensuing confrontation, the suspect was fatally shot. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
