The Ocala Police Department has announced that they are doubling the reward amount to $10,000 for anyone that can provide information leading to the arrest of Albert Shell Jr., the man accused of shooting and killing David Nathaniel Barron inside Ocala Paddock Mall.

In a social media post, the police urged the public to come forward with any information that could help locate Shell Jr., stating, "We are still actively searching for the Paddock Mall murder suspect, Albert Shell Jr., and we're now offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who provides information of his location that will lead to his arrest."

According to officials, Shell Jr. is wanted on charges of premeditated first-degree murder and attempted premeditated first-degree murder. The incident occurred on Saturday at the mall, resulting in the death of Barron and injury to a woman.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they discovered Barron's lifeless body inside the mall. The injured woman, who had sustained a gunshot wound to her leg, was immediately transported to the hospital. Fortunately, her injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

During the shooting, several other individuals were also hurt. One person complained of chest pain, while another was found with a broken arm, as per the police report.

Immediately following the incident, Shell Jr. fled the mall on foot. The police have since been conducting an intensive search to locate and apprehend him.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information regarding Albert Shell Jr.'s whereabouts to contact them at 352-656-6137. The increase in reward serves as an incentive for individuals to come forward and provide valuable information that could lead to Shell Jr.'s arrest.
