The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 15 as the troopers were assisting another driver who was asleep behind the wheel, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The troopers, who have not been identified but were described as husbands and fathers, had stopped to check on the driver when a white Chevrolet HHR struck them both. Shockingly, the driver of the vehicle did not stop after the collision, leaving the scene of the crime, as confirmed by police spokesperson Branden Clarkson.
