Authorities in Colorado Springs are on a nationwide search for a mother suspected of murdering her two young children and injuring another. The incident occurred in the early hours of December 19 when officers responded to a call for a burglary. The scene revealed an injured woman, identified as 35-year-old Kimberlee Singler, along with the lifeless bodies of her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Singler's 11-year-old daughter was also found at the scene with injuries but alive. She is currently recovering and receiving care. Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the injuries sustained by Singler and her children.

Initially reported as a burglary, further investigation led authorities to determine that the initial report was unfounded, as stated by the Colorado Springs police. On Tuesday, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Singler, who was last seen on Saturday. The mother is wanted on multiple charges, including four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of child abuse, and a felony assault charge. Her bond has been set at $10 million by the court.

Although Singler's whereabouts over the weekend have not been disclosed, the Colorado Springs Police Department stated that there is reason to believe she may no longer be in the state. The FBI's Denver office has confirmed its involvement in the search for Singler. Authorities have urged the public not to approach her as she is considered dangerous.

The tragic event has shocked the community, leaving neighbors and local residents deeply saddened. The search for the suspect continues as authorities work tirelessly to apprehend Singler and bring her to justice.
