In a tragic incident that has left a family in mourning, a mother and grandmother were fatally shot on Friday night outside a bar in Curtis Bay. Mary Schuman, 60, was remembered by her relatives as someone who cherished special moments with her grandchildren and brought joy to those around her.

According to Schuman's daughter, Lisa Bush, her mother was the life of the party - generous, kind, and a great person to be around. Schuman, who grew up in south Baltimore, had gone to Sooner's Tavern on Pennington Avenue with her boyfriend to pick up a six-pack of beer and enjoy a relaxing evening at home.

However, tragedy struck when they arrived at the bar. As Bush shared, her mother's boyfriend believed Schuman had made it into the bar as he waited outside in their truck. Suddenly, shots rang out, fired by an unknown assailant. It is believed that Schuman was not the intended target, but rather a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Both Schuman and a man, whose name was not released by the police, were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Bush recounted the heartbreaking sight of the ambulance arriving and her mother being loaded inside, only for it to remain stationary. It was then that Bush realized the devastating truth - her mother had passed away.

As investigators continue their search for the suspect, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. The family, however, is determined to seek justice for Schuman. "I just hope they are caught and she gets the justice she deserves," said Bush.

In the wake of this tragedy, Lisa Bush has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for her mother's funeral expenses. The community has rallied around the family, offering support and condolences during this difficult time.

Mary Schuman's untimely death has left a void in the lives of her loved ones, who will forever remember her as a caring mother and doting grandmother. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will live on through the cherished moments she shared with her beloved grandchildren.

As the investigation progresses, the family yearns for answers and closure. In the midst of their grief, they find solace in the outpouring of support from the community, as they come together to remember and honor the life of Mary Schuman.
