In a shocking incident in Milwaukee, a woman claimed that the 911 operator told her that police wouldn't be responding after she called to report her neighbor's carjacking. The incident occurred in a quiet neighborhood, leaving residents concerned about their safety.

According to the witness, who wished to remain anonymous, she witnessed her 64-year-old neighbor being forcefully dragged out of her own car and thrown to the ground. In a state of panic, the woman immediately dialed 911 to report the crime. However, she was taken aback by the response from the operator.

The witness stated, "I'm telling him what's going on, as it's happening, and he goes, 'Oh, we don't send anybody out for that.'" Despite making it clear that a carjacking was in progress, the operator seemingly dismissed the severity of the situation.

Court documents corroborate the witness's account, as a criminal complaint against the accused robber reveals that the 911 caller was informed that police do not respond to car thefts, despite this incident clearly being a carjacking.

Expressing her outrage, the witness exclaimed, "What the [expletive] are you talking about? They just ripped her out of her car, threw her on the ground." She was appalled by the operator's dismissive attitude and asked, "Well, what the hell do we pay you for?"

Taking matters into her own hands, the witness ended the call and decided to assist the victim herself. She drove her neighbor to a nearby police station, where they were met with disbelief that 911 had not dispatched any officers.

Subsequently, the police located the abandoned and damaged car not far from the scene and apprehended a 16-year-old suspect in relation to the carjacking. The victim sustained injuries to her wrist during the incident and continues to experience pain even two weeks later. The traumatic event has left her feeling anxious and fearful, despite the suspect being arrested.

Meanwhile, the woman who called 911 expressed her frustration at the lack of follow-up or explanation regarding why the operator failed to send police to the scene. While the police offered repeated apologies, no concrete answers have been provided thus far.

Authorities have since stated that they are "looking into" the matter to ascertain what transpired during the 911 call. Residents are anxiously awaiting a resolution and reassurance that emergency services will properly respond to such incidents in the future.

With concerns about public safety heightened, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of efficient emergency response and the need for proper investigation into the handling of distress calls by 911 operators.
