FRESNO, Calif. - A big rig crash on the northbound 5 Freeway near Grapevine Road caused a major traffic backup on Wednesday afternoon. The collision occurred shortly after 11 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The CHP reported that the semitruck, carrying 15-foot metal poles, lost its payload during the incident, scattering the poles onto all lanes of the interstate. As a result, the northbound 5 Freeway experienced significant congestion.
