Three parkgoers at Disneyland in Anaheim, California were injured on Monday morning when a lamppost on Main Street USA came tumbling down, according to reports. The incident, caused by strong wind gusts of up to 60 mph, left an elderly woman hospitalized with a head injury, while two others were treated at the scene for lesser injuries.

The Orange County Register reported that the freak mishap occurred just before 8:30 a.m. The Anaheim Fire Department spokesman, Sgt. John McClintock, confirmed the incident and attributed it to the unusually strong winds at the popular theme park. The lamppost, which was located in a flower bed near the Disneyland flagpole, had been used to provide stage lighting for parades and other events along Main Street.
