In a series of unfortunate events, Jayson Boebert, the former husband of Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, has been arrested for two separate incidents just days apart. The arrest affidavits reveal disturbing details surrounding both incidents.

The first incident occurred on January 6th, just before 8 p.m., at a restaurant in Silt. According to the arrest affidavit, a call was made to dispatch reporting "domestic violence abuse" involving Jayson Boebert and his ex-wife, Lauren Boebert. Lauren herself was one of the callers, uttering phrases like "I just touched your nose" and Jayson claiming "She punched me in the face."

Lauren Boebert explained to the responding officer that an argument had erupted between her and Jayson when the conversation turned to their new partners. She claimed to have placed her finger on his nose to "end the conversation," which prompted Jayson to call 911 and report domestic abuse. Lauren also stated that Jayson had consumed more alcohol than her, and their attempts to reconcile and get on good terms had taken a contentious turn. She expressed her belief that Jayson was trying to make her suffer after their divorce. Their 14-year-old son reportedly witnessed the incident.

During police interaction at the restaurant, Jayson Boebert was uncooperative and failed to remain on the patio as requested by officers. Witnesses reported that he was drinking what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage and continued to yell at the authorities even after being removed from the premises. The arrest affidavit mentions that the restaurant manager and law enforcement urged Jayson to leave multiple times, but he refused to comply. As a result, Jayson Boebert now faces charges of disorderly conduct, third-degree trespass, and obstruction of a peace officer related to this incident.

Only a few days later, on January 9th, another incident took place at a residence outside of Silt. At around 1 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance call made by Jayson Boebert's 18-year-old son. The arrest affidavit states that Jayson had thrown his phone across the house and pushed his son to the ground. He was also reportedly in possession of a rifle.

According to the affidavit, the altercation started when Jayson questioned why his grandson was lying in a laundry basket. Jayson's son mentioned that his father appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, expressing clumsiness and slurred speech. The situation escalated when Jayson seized his son's phone and hurled it down the stairs, resulting in a physical altercation between the two. The manager of a local establishment, the Black Bear Bar & Grill, attempted to intervene but was pushed away by Jayson.

During the incident, Jayson's son called his mother, Lauren Boebert, who advised him to contact the authorities. When on the phone with dispatch, the son noticed that his father had taken hold of a rifle. However, the type of rifle is unknown, as the residence reportedly housed numerous firearms.

Upon arrival, the second officer found Jayson Boebert as the sole person remaining at the residence. The manager of the Black Bear Bar & Grill, who had dropped Jayson off, stated that she did not witness any altercations between father and son. The officer determined that no immediate safety concerns existed since everyone else involved had left the property. All parties involved were relocated to the Silt Police Department.

As a result of the second incident, an arrest warrant has been issued for Jayson Boebert. He faces charges of prohibited use of weapons, harassment, and third-degree assault.

Jayson Boebert was subsequently booked into the Garfield County Jail and has since posted bail.

These events have raised questions about the Boeberts' personal lives and have left many concerned about their well-being and the impact these incidents may have on Lauren Boebert's political career.
