In a shocking revelation, an investigative report by The New York Times has exposed that Israel has been utilizing its largest and most destructive bombs in safe zones designated for civilians in the war-ravaged Gaza Strip. The Tel Aviv regime reportedly deployed these powerful munitions during the initial six weeks of its offensive on Gaza, despite assurances that these areas were off-limits to airstrikes.

Supported by a thorough analysis of visual evidence, the report focuses on the use of 2,000-pound bombs in a southern Gaza area where Israeli forces had instructed Gazans to seek safety, pledging not to target the region. The Times' research team employed an AI tool to scrutinize satellite images, concentrating on identifying bomb craters measuring over 40 feet across, which can only be created by 2,000-pound munitions in Gaza's sandy soil.

The researchers discovered a staggering 208 bomb craters in this densely-populated area through their manual examination of satellite images and drone footage. However, they caution that due to limited available imagery and the varied effects of bombs, there are likely many unaccounted cases.

The report comes amidst criticism from the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, who warns of the dire consequences of dispatching US military equipment to Israeli-occupied territories for use in the ongoing Gaza war. General Baqeri argues that such support will only exacerbate the already volatile situation on the ground.

The Israeli regime launched the offensive on October 7th following the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by the Palestinian Hamas resistance group, carried out in response to the Israeli regime's brutal treatment of Palestinians. Since the start of the US-backed offensive, more than 20,057 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have been killed, with an additional 532,320 injured. Tragically, thousands more remain missing and are presumed dead beneath the rubble.

It is worth mentioning that the United States has been unabatedly supporting Israel throughout this conflict, providing them with weapons and munitions. Over the course of the war, Washington has dispatched more than 5,000 MK-84 munitions, specifically 2,000-pound bombs, to bolster Israel's military capabilities.

As this shocking revelation surfaces, questions are being raised about the ethics and morality of using such powerful bombs in designated safe zones for civilians. The international community and human rights organizations are closely watching the situation, demanding accountability and an immediate end to the violence that has caused immense suffering to the Palestinian population in Gaza.
