In the ongoing war between Israel and the militant group Hamas, which has surpassed the 100-day mark, the past week has seen the conflict intensify as combat operations in Gaza pushed further to the south. Meanwhile, calls for a cease-fire echoed through the streets of Tel Aviv and a communication blackout in Gaza disrupted the lives of many.

According to the Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip, the death toll among Palestinians has now exceeded 25,000 since the start of the attacks on October 7. Tragically, approximately 1,200 lives were claimed in these attacks alone. The United Nations report reveals that the main victims of this brutal war are women and children.

The impact on civilian populations has been dire, with an estimated 1.9 million people displaced from their homes. Of this staggering number, close to one million are women and girls, who find themselves seeking refuge in the southern region of Gaza. Here, the availability of food and shelter is severely limited, further exacerbating the already dire humanitarian crisis.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas shows no signs of abating, as both sides remain locked in a deadly struggle. The international community continues to call for an immediate cease-fire to prevent further loss of life and the humanitarian situation from deteriorating any further. Efforts to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict remain paramount, as innocent civilians continue to bear the brunt of the violence.

As the fourth month of the conflict begins, the world watches with bated breath, hoping for a swift end to the bloodshed and a return to peace for the people of Gaza and Israel.
