Colorado Springs, CO - An ongoing investigation is underway following a harrowing road rage incident that occurred near the Colorado Springs Airport on Tuesday, October 31, just before 5 p.m. Authorities were called to the scene after receiving reports of a confrontation between two drivers near Milton Proby Parkway and Peak Innovation.
According to the victim, who provided a description of the suspect's car, the altercation escalated when the suspect allegedly opened fire, with the bullet striking the front passenger side of the victim's vehicle. The victim, remarkably, escaped serious injury as the bullet was stopped by his wallet, which was in the side cargo pocket of his pants and prevented it from penetrating his skin. However, he did sustain a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his right thigh.
