In a shocking revelation, a New York Post report has exposed a wider conspiracy involving illegal immigrants who have fled to California after allegedly assaulting a pair of New York City police officers. According to a police source cited by the Post, these immigrants are engaged in a scheme of stealing phones and using the Apple Pay and credit card information inside to make lavish purchases back in their home countries.

The police source stated that these individuals, who are primarily from Ecuador and Venezuela, are utilizing the stolen funds to buy high-end cars and install pools in their homes. The intercontinental flow of money has contributed to a surge in larcenies, culminating in an alarming escalation of criminal activity.

Furthermore, it has come to light that four of the suspects involved in the recent attack on the police officers had their bus tickets to California paid for by taxpayers. The Office of Emergency Management in the city has been providing travel vouchers to migrants seeking assistance from participating nonprofit groups, allowing them to leave the already overwhelmed city. These vouchers can be utilized for various forms of transportation, including buses.

Disturbingly, a few of the suspects, upon being released without bail, are believed to have engaged in fraudulent activities by swapping immigration numbers and using misappropriated identities to obtain vouchers and tickets under fake names. This revelation raises concerns about the effectiveness of the current system in ensuring proper accountability and preventing abuse of resources.

The handling of the suspects' release has sparked criticism, with Governor Kathy Hochul expressing her desire to discuss the matter with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Governor Hochul emphasized that an assault on a police officer should warrant bail and voiced concerns about the failure to seek incarceration for the offenders. She also highlighted the potential for deportation in over 100 crimes, urging a conversation with the district attorney regarding his options in these cases.

As this controversy unfolds, authorities will undoubtedly face mounting pressure to address the loopholes in the system that allow such criminal activities to persist. The need for stricter checks and balances, as well as comprehensive immigration policy reforms, has become evident in light of these alarming revelations.
