In a tragic turn of events, Zeke Gregory Best, the 10-month-old son of Jeremy Best, was discovered deceased by hunters on Saturday morning. The incident unfolded after Jeremy Best was taken into custody for allegedly killing his pregnant wife and kidnapping Zeke, according to a news release from the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office.
The authorities were alerted at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Saturday when a group of hunters stumbled upon a man in a naked state, lying in a sleeping bag on the side of Kepps Crossing Road, near Dan Creek Road in Victor, Idaho. The hunters reported that the man was making strange statements, leading them to reach out to the Bonneville County Dispatch.
Upon arriving at the scene, Bonneville County Sheriff's deputies identified the man as Jeremy Albert Best and promptly ensured his detainment. Medical personnel from Idaho Falls Ambulance subsequently provided him with necessary treatment for any injuries sustained.
Jeremy Best had been driving a black Chevy SUV, which was discovered close by. Deputies conducted a search of the area and found the lifeless body of Zeke Best. It remains uncertain whether Zeke's body was located inside the SUV or elsewhere.

The Teton County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from the Best residence around 11:40 p.m. According to the sheriff's office news release, the dispatcher overheard an argument before dispatching deputies to the scene. Upon arrival, the lifeless body of Kali Jean Randall, wife of Jeremy Best and mother of Zeke, was discovered.

Following medical clearance, Jeremy Best was taken to Bonneville County Jail and booked on an outstanding homicide warrant from Teton County. He will remain in custody until his arraignment.
