In a devastating incident that highlights the plight of the homeless population and raises concerns about road safety, a homeless man was tragically hit by three vehicles within a span of just one minute on a Los Angeles highway. Shockingly, none of the drivers stopped to assist the victim, who ultimately lost his life.

The incident occurred on January 12, around 11.45pm, when the unidentified man, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was walking along San Fernando Road. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the surveillance footage from a local business captured the heart-wrenching incident.

The footage reveals that the initial collision was caused by a light-colored pickup truck that was driving on the wrong side of the road. Despite the impact, the homeless man attempted to get up, only to meet with further tragedy when a full-sized SUV ran him over, propelling him several feet forward. As if the situation couldn't be more horrific, a third mid-sized SUV struck the victim, leaving him helpless and alone on the road.

Sadly, all three vehicles involved in the hit-and-run fled the scene, failing to stop and provide aid, as required by law. The LAPD is now seeking public assistance in identifying the drivers in question, as no arrests have been made thus far.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead. A witness, who was deeply disturbed by the incident, shared his experience, stating, "I wouldn't wish that on my enemy. He was breathing. He was trying to get up. And, even after then, he was hit again on the other side of the street... He wasn't breathing."

The LAPD's Valley Traffic Division detectives have released the surveillance footage, hoping that the public's help will lead to the identification of the drivers involved in the fatal hit-and-run. They emphasized that drivers have a legal obligation to stop, provide aid, and remain at the scene if they are involved in a collision.

The tragic incident has brought attention to the vulnerability and hardships faced by the homeless community. The victim was frequently seen in the neighborhood, often draped in a blanket. As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward and assist with the identification of the drivers responsible.

This heart-wrenching incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and empathy toward those in need. It is a tragedy that should drive society to take action, ensuring that no one is left abandoned and without aid in times of distress.
