In a stunning revelation, former President Donald Trump's attorney, Jenna Ellis, has informed prosecutors in Georgia that she was informed that Trump had no intention of leaving the White House, despite losing the 2020 election. The disclosure came during a confidential interview with Fulton County investigators, and the video footage of the interview has been obtained by ABC News.

Ellis disclosed during the session that she was told by senior Trump White House official Dan Scavino that "the boss" would refuse to leave the White House under any circumstances, even though the election results had been determined and multiple legal challenges had been unsuccessful. However, Ellis was unable to fully discuss the other relevant instances she mentioned in the video due to attorney-client privilege.

Meanwhile, Sidney Powell, another attorney who aided Trump's efforts to overturn the election, revealed her plans to seize voting machines nationwide and claimed to have had frequent communications with Trump during her endeavors. However, both Powell and Trump now deny that she was ever his attorney.

During the proffer session, Powell admitted that she had limited knowledge of election law but believed she understood fraud due to her experience as a prosecutor. She maintained her false assertion that Trump had won the election but admitted her lack of expertise in election law.

The videos obtained by ABC News, estimated to be excerpts totaling nearly an hour and a half, provide the first details of what Ellis and Powell have disclosed to law enforcement since agreeing to cooperate in the district attorney's election interference case. Notably, in the video, prosecutors mentioned that Powell had answered three hours of questions during her session.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' office did not provide a comment on the matter, while attorneys for Ellis and Powell declined to comment when approached by ABC News. Similarly, Dan Scavino did not respond to a request for comment.

Steve Sadow, Trump's lead counsel in the Fulton County case, dismissed the allegations made by Ellis, claiming that Trump had left the White House on January 20, 2021, and returned to Mar-a-Lago. He referred to the revelations as "bogus" and added that they were a reason for the case to be dismissed.

Proffer sessions, which are part of plea deals, involve defendants disclosing information helpful to prosecutors. While the obtained videos do not capture their full sessions, they provide significant insights into Ellis and Powell's statements. Trump and 18 others have pleaded not guilty to charges related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia. Ellis and Powell, among two other defendants, have entered plea agreements to lesser charges in exchange for cooperation.

The investigation led by Fulton County District Attorney Willis has faced criticism from Trump, who has labeled it as politically motivated.

Jenna Ellis, once a loyal lieutenant of Trump, gained visibility through various public appearances where she propagated false claims of election fraud. Federal Election Commission records reveal that the Trump campaign paid her approximately $195,000 for legal services between 2019 and 2021.

The testimony provided by Ellis in the video aligns with earlier reporting by The New York Times' Maggie Haberman, who stated in her book that Trump had expressed his unwillingness to leave the White House. While Ellis' account supports the allegation of conspiracy to change the election result, legal experts cautioned that it does not directly implicate the former president.

Sidney Powell's acceptance of a plea deal prompted Trump to distance himself from her, asserting that she was never his attorney. Powell, on the other hand, claimed to have had close contact with Trump and discussed the progress of their legal challenges to overturn the election.

As the case unfolds, the revelations from the video interviews may play a significant role in establishing the motivations and actions of those involved. The cooperation of Ellis and Powell could provide valuable insights into the alleged election interference.
