He expressed optimism stating, "There's a lot of people with deep pockets, and they're looking for somewhere to put it. And little old Jeffersonville is gonna be the one that benefits from it."

However, some local residents, such as the Newbolts, who live near the Jeffboat property, have expressed concerns over the impact that the development might have on the small-town charm of the area and the potential increase in traffic.

The development project is expected to require a significant amount of new infrastructure to support the growth, including the construction of sewer lines, sidewalks, and roads. Options being considered by the city of Jeffersonville include the formation of a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district to help finance these necessary infrastructure projects.
