The FBI is calling on the public for assistance as they investigate the shooting incident that occurred at the Beavercreek Walmart on Monday night. The suspected shooter, 20-year-old Benjamin Charles Jones, injured four individuals before dying of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

During a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Beavercreek police identified Jones as the gunman and released his photo. The FBI is currently investigating Jones' background and motive for the shooting. Zrinka Dilber, assistant special agent in charge of the Cincinnati FBI Field Office, urged anyone who may have known Jones, his motivations, or anyone who had associations with him, to come forward and provide information.

In light of the tragic event, Walmart announced that the store will reopen its doors to the public at 6 a.m. on Friday at its Beavercreek location on 3360 Pentagon Blvd. The company stated that their focus has been on supporting the well-being of their associates, and after consulting with them, the decision to reopen as soon as possible was made. The store will resume its normal business hours.

According to reports, the shooting took place around 8:35 p.m. on Monday night when Jones entered the Beavercreek Walmart and began firing. Law enforcement officers arrived within minutes and found Jones deceased near the vision center, suggesting a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The victims of the shooting include three women and one man. At the time of reporting, three of them were in stable condition, while the fourth victim remained in critical but stable condition, according to Beavercreek police Capt. Chad Lindsey.

The FBI is urging anyone with information related to Benjamin Charles Jones to contact them at 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit tips.fbi.gov. The investigation into the shooting and its motives continues as authorities work to bring justice to the victims and their families.
