One person has died and two others are in a serious condition after a collision on Route 16 in Pinkham's Grant, New Hampshire, according to the New Hampshire State Police. The incident occurred on Sunday around 11:30 p.m., prompting the closure of a section of Route 16 near mile 98.2.

The New Hampshire State Police reported that Bradley Eldridge, a 63-year-old resident of Errol, was driving an Errol Fire Department pickup truck when it collided with another pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction. As a result of the crash, Eldridge sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the second pickup truck, identified as Richard Gauthier, a 60-year-old from Gorham, was also injured in the collision. Gauthier's injuries were deemed life-threatening, and he was immediately taken to the hospital for urgent medical care. Tragically, Linda Gauthier, a 54-year-old passenger in the second pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

Following several hours of road closure for investigation and clean-up, Route 16 was reopened at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Monday.
