Following a survey conducted on Friday morning, meteorologists confirmed that the tornado touched down at approximately 8:01 a.m. near E Commerce Street. It then proceeded to move north and northeast, passing near Fort Sam Houston, before finally dissipating near Austin Highway in Terrell Hills.
