In a shocking incident in the Dallas area, Nestor Joel Lujan Flores, 31, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after allegedly striking a pedestrian and driving with the victim's body in his passenger seat.

The incident came to light on Saturday night when police discovered Flores slumped over the steering wheel of a Kia Forte in a White Settlement restaurant parking lot. The vehicle had extensive damage to its hood and windshield, suggesting a severe impact. Police believe the force of the collision was so strong that the pedestrian was thrown inside the car and came to rest on the passenger seat.

White Settlement police were alerted to the vehicle's suspicious condition by a concerned citizen. Upon closer inspection, an officer noticed a human body with no signs of life in the front passenger seat. Astonishingly, Flores claimed that he believed he had hit an animal and had driven to the parking lot without reporting the incident to the authorities.

Further investigation revealed that the initial crash scene occurred on the westbound service road of Interstate 30 near Cockrell Hill Road, approximately 38 miles away from the restaurant parking lot where Flores and the victim were discovered. Human remains found near the roadway were suspected to match the body found inside the vehicle.

As a result of this new information, White Settlement police have decided to transfer the criminal case to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office for prosecution. The investigators have also obtained a blood search warrant, and the results are still pending.
