Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is currently investigating a targeted shooting that occurred at the Citadel Mall on Sunday, December 24. One person has been reported dead, while three others have been injured in the incident.

According to the CSPD, the shooting took place around 4:30 p.m., following a fight between two groups of people. One man was fatally shot, while two other men sustained serious injuries and were promptly rushed to the hospital. Additionally, a woman was also injured in the incident and required medical attention.

The CSPD believes that all the victims were part of the group involved in the initial altercation. While several individuals have been detained, no arrests have been made thus far. Authorities are continuing their investigation and will remain on the scene for a few more hours.

The CSPD has categorized the incident as a "targeted attack" and assured the public that there is no known threat to the community. The mall was promptly evacuated and is currently closed. It is expected to reopen on Tuesday, December 26, as scheduled.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) also responded to the scene to provide assistance. In the meantime, individuals with any information related to the shooting are urged to contact the police department.
