Coca-Cola has issued a voluntary recall of three soda products in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida, as it was discovered that the 12-ounce cans may have been contaminated with "potential foreign material," according to a report by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall, which took place on November 6, affected a total of 1,988 cases of beverages. Specifically, 1,557 cases of Sprite, 417 cases of Diet Coke, and 14 cases of Fanta Orange were included in the recall, as detailed in the FDA report. The recall involved 12-packs of 12-ounce cans.

United Packers, LLC, based in Alabama, initiated the recall, as stated by the FDA. The affected sodas were distributed only in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.

It is important to note that at the time of publication, no instances of illness or injury related to the recalled products have been reported.

A spokesperson for Coca-Cola provided further clarification on the recall. The "limited quantity" voluntary recall impacted a total of 48 stores in Valparaiso, Florida; Robertsdale and Mobile, Alabama; and Gulfport and Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The spokesperson affirmed that all recall activities in those markets have been completed and there is no remaining impacted product in the market.

Coca-Cola is taking this recall seriously and urging consumers who have purchased the affected products to return them to the store for a refund. The company is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety for its products.

Consumers are advised to check their inventory and refrain from consuming the affected sodas. They can also contact Coca-Cola's customer service for further assistance or information regarding the recall.

As per the FDA report, Coca-Cola has taken the necessary steps to rectify the potential contamination and is working closely with the agency to investigate the matter further. The recall serves as a precautionary measure to ensure the well-being of consumers.

In light of this recall, it is crucial for consumers to remain vigilant and stay informed about product recalls to ensure their safety and the safety of their families.
